Physical Therapist, Rehab

Mercy Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital and is currently looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist with experience or interest in pediatrics. The Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Varied caseload including inpatient, outpatient, LTC, Home Care, Transitional Care Unit contracted visits, and clinic work.  Successful candidates must be able to multi-task within all areas of a rural hospital setting, highly organized and able to prioritize, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced progressive department, have basic computer, accounting, word processing, exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications: Must have a BA/BS or Doctorate degree as a Physical Therapist from a college or university, Licensed in the state of Minnesota with the Medical Board of Examiners.CPR certified. New Grads are encouraged to apply. Closing Date: Until Filled  Apply! 



Health Unit Coordinator, Hospital 

Mercy Hospital has an immediate opening for a part-time (.6), 12 hour, rotating shift Health Unit Coordinator in its Med/Surg Department. The Health Unit Coordinator provides organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.  These duties include interviewing incoming patients or representatives and entering information required for admission into the computer, making special arrangements to meet patient’s needs, scheduling tests according to physician and nursing orders, monitoring and ordering supplies, and transcribing orders to patient’s electronic medical record.   The HUC communicates effectively via a variety of modalities (telephone, electronic, and in person) with patients, visitors, and facility staff and plays an integral role in communication across the continuum of care.  Most of the duties are preformed under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.


High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Certificate from a Medical Secretary Program or Office Management Program; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification as a Health Unit Coordinator (CHUC) preferred. Notary License. Medical Terminology knowledge. Admitting experience helpful. Must have computer skills, Meditech experience preferred. Ability to prioritize work independently. Must be able to work in a team setting. 

Employee is expected to have acceptable sustained attendance. Be able to work 2 out of 3 weekends in a 6 week block. Courtesy and tact (professional attitude) must be used at all times with customers, including co-workers.

Pharmacist-in-Charge, Pharmacy

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Full Time, Day Shift, Pharmacist in Charge.

This position will compound and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care, and safely provide medications and information to the facility and the public.  In addition to normal pharmacist duties, plans, budgets, and conducts revenue analysis. Directly supervises employees in the Pharmacy Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications: Pharm D or B.S. Degree and fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minnesota Board of Pharmacy License and 30 hours every two years of certified continuing education. Ability to work with others effectively in a drug information role.  Effective interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Closing Date: Until Filled  Apply!  




Occupational Therapist, Rehab

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Part- Time (.8) Registered/Licensed Occupational Therapist. This position will provide quality occupational therapy services to include assessment, intervention, program planning and implementation, discharge planning, communication and documentation.

Qualifications: Qualified individuals will have obtained a Masters or Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university as an Occupational Therapist. Candidate must demonstrate computer skills, skills in oral and written communication along with possessing strong spelling and grammar skills. Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and work independently. Must possess Certification with the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy; hold current Registration and Licensure with the Minnesota Department of Health, and a valid driver’s license. Foundation Director, Foundation

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Foundation Director. This is a part-time, salaried, day, afternoon, evening position. The Foundation Director is responsible for fund development through special projects, events, annual giving campaigns and planned giving. This position directly supervises the foundation data entry employee. 

The Foundation Director will also work closely with the Foundation Board of Directors and the CEO.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university and/or two or more years of experience in a foundation, grant writing and /or major fundraising preferred.   

Healthcare background or experience and two or more years of supervisor experience preferred. Supervisory skills will be required with the ability to delegate to complete multiple projects and tasks. Closing Date: Until Filled  Apply!
