Varied caseload including inpatient, outpatient, LTC, Home Care, Transitional Care Unit contracted visits, and clinic work. Successful candidates must be able to multi-task within all areas of a rural hospital setting, highly organized and able to prioritize, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced progressive department, have basic computer, accounting, word processing, exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Med/Surg/ICU Nurse Manager
Mercy Hospital has one Full-time opening for an 8 hour (Day) shift Med/Surg/ICU Nurse Manager. This person Administers, directs and coordinates activities of Patient Care within a clinical department. They are responsible for the recommendation, development and implementation of policies and procedures and for keeping the Director of Patient Care Services informed of both progress and potential problems. Responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery. Maintains operational aspects of the clinical department in collaboration with other service areas.
Directly supervises anywhere from 2 to 20+ employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing is preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous proven experience and expertise in first line management position commensurate with the clinical demands of a departmental position (3-5 years). Proven expertise/experience in house supervision (1-2 years) preferred. Prior proven experience and expertise in management either in first line or shift supervisory work (minimum 2 years) or successful completion of an approved management training course plus minimum of 3-5 years clinical practice plus 1 year as "charge/shift coordinator" with excellent performance appraisals.

IT Tech I, MIS
Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Part-Time IT Tech I in the MIS Department. This is an entry level position. This position installs, modifies, and makes repairs to computer software systems, and provides technical day to day assistance and training to system users.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in PC Hardware, network management or related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or A+ Certification preferred. This being an entry level job, it is expected that there will be a level of on the job training.
Knowledge and experience with computer software applications, installation procedures, all versions of Microsoft Windows, PC hardware, knowledge of TCP/IP, Microsoft Windows Server, and server Hardware, knowledge of command line systems and PC hardware and software. Familiarity with Citrix server MS Access, SQL and VB / VBA / VBS is a plus. This position also requires good communication skills in the English language, excellent customer service, problem solving skills, and good time management. Capacity to deal with stressful situations. Must be highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks relating to departmental operations. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of information.
