Physical Therapist, Rehab Mercy Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital and is currently looking a Full Time Physical Therapist with experience or brand new graduates. The Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Varied caseload including inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, LTC, Home Care, Transitional Care Unit contracted visits.  Successful candidates must be able to multi-task within all areas of a rural hospital setting, highly organized and able to prioritize, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced progressive department, have basic computer, accounting, word processing, exceptional customer service and communication skills. Qualifications: Must have a BA/BS or Doctorate degree as a Physical Therapist from a college or university, Licensed in the state of Minnesota with the Medical Board of Examiners.CPR certified. New Grads are encouraged to apply.

Med/Surg CNAR

Mercy Hospital has one opening in its Med/Surg Department for a Part-Time (.6) CNA. This is an 8 hour rotating shift (day, afternoon/evenings) position. This position will be based in Med/Surg, but will work in MS-ICU/OB/ED/OR as assigned.

This position is responsible for services related to dietary, environmental services, transportation, materials management and guest relations.  Performs a wide variety of environmental, patient care and data entry functions on the patient care unit.  Participates in team activities and quality improvement programs.  Participates in performance improvement activities including drills.Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of 84 hour Nursing Assistant course would be desirable but not necessary at this time. Listing on MN State Registry for Nursing Assistants is desirable. 12 hours of applicable education annually required. BLS certification biannually. Closing Date: July 2, 2016






Clinical Dietitian

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a casual day shift, Registered Dietitian. This person assesses nutritional needs by meeting with patients, chart review and consultation with health care team. Ensures in-patient nutritional needs are met in accordance with recognized dietary practices. Communicates and documents pertinent information regarding nutrition care and treatment plan in electronic medical records. May provide nutritional and diabetic education individually and in group settings as part of the Diabetes Team. Advises inpatients, outpatients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation. Participates in department and hospital wide development and implementation of policies and procedures, and quality improvement program. Monitors quality improvement indicators. Participates in community health education events.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Licensed Dietitian or Nutritionist with the state of Minnesota and Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. 

Schedule must be flexible. Computer experience in Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records, and Meditech preferred.

Effectively works independently and with strong organizational skills. Provides strong clinical expertise and adheres to evidenced based guidelines. Has strong counseling and education skills. Follows all state and Federal guidelines regarding nutrition therapy. Works effectively with Food Service management as well as all other facility departments.

Casual Ambulance EMT

Mercy Hospital has immediate openings for casual, (rotating) 12 hour shift EMT-Bs with our ambulance service.  Working as a member of emergency medical team, assesses and transports sick patients and administers medical treatments and interventions for injured persons according to established protocols and policies.


Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with certificate as an Emergency Medical Technician. One to three months of related experience.

Emergency Medical Technician State and/or National Registry Certification

Driving course equivalent to Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)

Currently CPR Certified. Valid driver’s license. Digital Communication via texting, phone, email with the Ambulance Coordinator.




IT Intern


Mercy Hospital has an opening for an IT Student Intern. As a student intern, an individual learns by participating in the daily functions of the MIS Department along with completing time consuming tasks otherwise difficult for the MIS staff to complete.  Interns will research various departmental information in order to build department specific Intranet applications, and will also provide technical support on Microsoft office products for all facility approved users.



Candidates must still attend high school or college in 2016-2017, be a minimum of 16 years of age, must possess knowledge of Windows based applications along with a basic understanding of computer information systems and accompanying hardware. This position requires excellent communication skills along with a level of maturity that allows the individual to be able to work independently or with little direction
