Physical Therapist, Rehab Mercy Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital and is currently looking a Full Time Physical Therapist with experience or brand new graduates. The Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Varied caseload including inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, LTC, Home Care, Transitional Care Unit contracted visits.  Successful candidates must be able to multi-task within all areas of a rural hospital setting, highly organized and able to prioritize, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced progressive department, have basic computer, accounting, word processing, exceptional customer service and communication skills. Qualifications: Must have a BA/BS or Doctorate degree as a Physical Therapist from a college or university, Licensed in the state of Minnesota with the Medical Board of Examiners.CPR certified. New Grads are encouraged to apply.

Speech Language Pathologist – School Based - Full Time

Mercy Hospital has a Full Time Speech Language Pathologist position available.  This position will be based in the Moose Lake School.  The position will also be working in the hospital during the summer months to cover vacations, PRN.

 

This person will provide services to K-12 in the school and as needed in the summer months (ie. Vacation relief) at the hospital for all patients.

Position will collaborate with teachers and parents, be knowledgeable to school processes.  Will be a partner in meeting student needs.  Will collaborate with student, caregiver and teachers to establish and provide treatment programs designed to meet individual needs. This person will evaluate all students referred to them covering a range of disorders. 

Will complete and maintain documentation according to MN Department of Education and MN Dept of Health. 

 They will establish and provide treatment programs designed to meet individual patient's needs and will maintain comprehensive patient documentation regarding evaluation, treatment programs, progress and discharge summary information. This person will provide treatment to all ages in the hospital, skilled nursing facility, outpatient and home care settings. This person will also use the following equipment; augmentative and alternative communication modes, Vital-Stim, Visi-pitch and Nasometer. 

Mercy provides opportunities for Continuing Education to become certified in specialized treatment.

Qualifications: This position will require a Master's degree (M. A.), (M. S.) in communication disorders; meet the educational requirements for certification and have completed the process of accumulating the supervised clinical experience required for certification by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Licensure from the Minnesota Department of Health and Licensed by the MN Board of Teaching. 

Prefer SLP with school based experience.

Surgical Technician - Part Time (.6)

 Mercy Hospital has an opening for a part-time (.6) day, 8 hour shift with call rotation Surgical Technician position available in the Surgery Department. This person will assist the physician and surgical team before, during, and after surgery. Communicates with other OR staff to ensure the best interests of the patient are met.

Qualifications: Qualified applicants must be a graduate of a Surgical Technician program from college or technical school with 2-3 years of experience in a wide variety of Surgical Tech duties. Must have current CPR certification, BLS or able to obtain within 6 months of hire, be computer literate, and have exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must maintain confidentiality of patient's surgery. Closing Date: Until Filled

Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed OR Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Casual

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Casual (day shift) OT or COTA in the Rehab Dept.

 

OT

This position will provide quality occupational therapy services to include assessment, intervention, program planning and implementation, discharge planning, communication and documentation.

 

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals will have obtained a Masters or Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university as an Occupational Therapist. Candidate must demonstrate computer skills, have exceptional oral and written communication skills along with possessing strong spelling and grammar skills.  Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and work independently. Must possess Certification with the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy; hold current Registration and Licensure with the Minnesota Department of Health, and a valid driver’s license. COTA

Under the direction of the rehab Director or OTR implements prescribed treatment and assist OTR as necessary to support the established objectives of the department and contribute to meeting the goals of Mercy Hospital. 

 

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three months to one year related experience and/or training preferred. Candidate must demonstrate computer skills, have exceptional oral and written communication skills along with possessing strong spelling and grammar skills.  Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and work independently. Certification by NBCOT. Licensed in the State of Minnesota.  New Grads are encouraged to apply.

IT Student Intern - Casual (.4) (Up to 32 hours per pay period)

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a casual (.4) (up to 32 hours per pay period) IT Student Intern.  As a student intern, an individual learns by participating in the daily functions of the MIS Department along with completing time consuming tasks otherwise difficult for the MIS staff to complete.  Interns will research various departmental information in order to build departmental specific Intranet applications, and will also provide technical support on Microsoft office products for all facility approved users.

 

Qualification:

Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age, must possess knowledge of Windows based applications along with a basic understanding of computer information systems and accompanying software.  This position requires excellent communication skills along with a level of maturity that allows the individual to be able to work independently or with little direction.
