Physical Therapist, Rehab

Mercy Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital and is currently looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist with experience or interest in pediatrics. The Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Varied caseload including inpatient, outpatient, LTC, Home Care, Transitional Care Unit contracted visits, and clinic work.  Successful candidates must be able to multi-task within all areas of a rural hospital setting, highly organized and able to prioritize, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced progressive department, have basic computer, accounting, word processing, exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications: Must have a BA/BS or Doctorate degree as a Physical Therapist from a college or university, Licensed in the state of Minnesota with the Medical Board of Examiners.CPR certified. New Grads are encouraged to apply. Closing Date: Until Filled  Apply! 

 

 

Occupational Therapist, Rehab

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Full-Time, 10 hour, Day shift Registered/Licensed Occupational Therapist. This position will provide quality occupational therapy services to include assessment, intervention, program planning and implementation, discharge planning, communication and documentation.

Qualifications: Qualified individuals will have obtained a Masters or Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university as an Occupational Therapist. Candidate must demonstrate computer skills, skills in oral and written communication along with possessing strong spelling and grammar skills. Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and work independently. Must possess Certification with the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy; hold current Registration and Licensure with the Minnesota Department of Health, and a valid driver’s license. Nutrition Assistant, Dietary

Mercy Hospital has one opening for a Day, Afternoon/Evening, Rotating shift, part-time (.5) Nutrition Assistant relief #4.  Under the direction of the Kitchen Supervisor, the Nutrition Assistant will interview and assist patients with meal selections and will deliver patient meals directly to the patients on the nursing units.  In addition this position will portion food in accordance with regulations, use standardized recipes, clean food preparation areas, tray line, pots and pans, equipment (must be able to use all equipment in kitchen, includes ovens, mixers, steamers, slicer, dishwasher,  steam jacketed kettle, and blenders). Maintain pot and sink area, work on patient tray assembly, employee cafeteria and special functions.  Must be able to work in a cook capacity and be able to cross train into all dietary positions.

Qualifications: Applicants must be a minimum 18 years old, High School Diploma or GED. 1-3 months related experience preferred with the ability to read, write, understand and follow written and oral instructions.  Must be available to work scheduled shifts and call availability. Medical Secretary, HIS

Mercy Hospital has an opening for a Part-Time, Temp (.6) Medical Secretary in our Health Information Services department. This person will assist in the efficient work flow within the Health Information Services Department and to provide support to the department director. This will be achieved through performing general office functions, designing/implementing and maintaining organized, efficient systems to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.  Provides support to the Health Information Services department with the completion of clerical, technical and miscellaneous duties to ensure smooth operations of the department.

Qualifications: Completion of Medical Secretary or General Secretary Program from college or technical school and six months related experience and/or training in a health care setting, preferably in the Health Information Services Department. Disciplined, self-motivated, flexible, extreme attention to detail and able to stay on task. Experience in operating a computerized medical information system/Meditech.
