Dietary Aide, Dietary

Mercy Hospital has one opening for an 8 hour, rotating shift, casual Dietary Aide.  Under the direction of the Dietary Manager, a Dietary Aide will portion food in accordance with regulations, use standardized recipes, clean food preparation areas, tray line, pots and pans, equipment (must be able to use all equipment in kitchen, includes ovens, mixers, steamers, slicer, dishwasher, tilt skillet, steam jacketed kettle, and blenders. Maintain pot and sink area, work on patient/resident tray line, employee and resident lunchrooms and special functions.  Must be able to work in a cook capacity and be able to cross train as cafeteria assistant.

Qualifications: Applicants must be a minimum 18 years old, High School Diploma or GED. 1-3 months related experience preferred with the ability to read, write, understand and follow written and oral instructions.  Must be available to work scheduled shifts and call availability. Closing Date: 8/9/14 





Student Dishwashers, Dietary

Mercy Hospital has up to two casual, afternoon/evening, 4 hour shift Dietary Student Dishwasher positions open. Under the direction of the Dietary Manager this student dishwasher position cleans pots & pans, operates and maintains dish machine and dish room equipment.  Works on patient/resident tray line and also performs duties that contribute to the goals of the Dietary Department.

Qualifications: Applicant must be 16 years of age or older, currently enrolled in high school, able to read, write understand and follow oral and written instructions. Must be available to work shifts after school, weekends, and school breaks. Closing Date: 8/9/14 



Speech Language Pathologist, Rehab

Mercy Hospital has one opening for a Part Time (.8) day/ 8 hour shift Speech Therapist. This person will evaluate all patients referred regarding language, communication or swallowing disorders. They will establish and provide treatment programs designed to meet individual patient's needs and will maintain comprehensive patient documentation regarding evaluation, treatment programs, progress and discharge summary information. This person will provide treatment to all ages in the hospital, skilled nursing facility, outpatient and home care settings. This person will also use the following equipment; Vital-Stim, Visi-pitch and Nasometer. Mercy provides opportunities for Continuing Education to become certified in specialized treatment.

Qualifications: This position will require a Master's degree (M. A.), (M. S.) in communication disorders; meet the educational requirements for certification and have completed the process of accumulating the supervised clinical experience required for certification by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Licensure from the Minnesota Department of Health and Licensure from the Minnesota Department of Education is required. Clinical Fellowship Candidates will be considered. Closing Date: Until Filled
